Cougars Advance to NAIC Championship After Semifinal Victory

The Rock Point Cougars Middle School football team advanced to the NAIC Championship following a decisive 26–6 victory over the Tséhootsooí Scouts in Wednesday night’s semifinal matchup at Cougar Field.
Entering the postseason as the West #1 seed, Rock Point earned a first-round bye and hosted East #2 Tséhootsooí, who advanced after defeating West #3 Baker in the quarterfinals.
In the upper bracket, East #1 Chinle also received a bye but was defeated by West #2 Dennehotso Hawks, setting up the championship matchup between Rock Point and Dennehotso.
The NAIC Championship is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, at 6 p.m. at Fighting Scouts Stadium in Fort Defiance, Arizona.
Rock Point will look to carry its momentum into the title game as the Cougars aim to capture the 2025 NAIC Championship.
