Welcome to the RPCS In-Person Parent Teacher Conferences for K-12. PTC will happen in-person on Wednesday and Thursday, February 12 and 13 for both Elementary & Secondary simultaneously, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Instructions on how to SignUp for PTC with your child(ren)'s teachers. Repeat steps 1-8 to SignUp with other teachers. A confirmation Email will be sent to you. SignUp spots will be locked after 10 a.m. on the day of conferences. Walk-ins will be accommodated. UPDATE: 1A North Girls & Boys Region Basketball Tournament February 08, 2025, Rock Point, AZ - Top seeded Rock Point Lady Cougars and #2 Lady Redskins will match up with Fredonia Lady Lynx and Dishchii’bikoh Lady Wildcats respectively tomorrow, February 08, during the region tournament semifinals games. For the boys, top seeded Dischii’bikoh will take on the Redskins of Red Mesa and El Capitan will matchup with the Rock Point Cougars in the boys semifinals games. The winners will play for the championship games. On the other side, there will be third place games. Admission is $10 for all spectators. CASH ONLY. Concession will be available onsite. All games will be played on Melvin Arthur Court in Rock Point, Arizona. Support your teams in the spirit of good sportsmanship. Alcohol, drugs, and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. 1A North Region Releases 2025 Region Basketball Tournament Brackets - Rock Point Hosting February 03, 2025, Rock Point, AZ - The 1A North Region released their six-team field basketball brackets for both boys and girls and lists the Lady Cougars of Rock Point and the Wildcats of Dishchii’bikoh as top seeds. Both top seeds will receive byes and await the winning teams on Saturday for the semifinals. The Regional Tournament begins on Wednesday February 5th with first round play at the higher seeded team’s home location. The semifinals games, the third-place games, and the championship games will all happen on Melvin Arthur Court on Saturday, February 8 in Rock Point, Arizona, the Home of the Cougars. Admission is set at $10 at all locations. Doors open 1 hour before game time unless hosts announce differently. Support your teams in the spirit of good sportsmanship. RPCS Professional Development Day Monday, February 03, 2025 There will be no school for students tomorrow, February 03, 2025. Parents please check in with your children to make sure they are caught up with school work. Use your Campus Parent App to check on grades, assignments, and upcoming assignments and due dates. RPCS staff will be having a full-day professional development day. Five Week progress grades will be posted on Friday. Parent Teacher Conferences will be next week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for both schools. School resumes on Tuesday. Have a great day.

RYER JAMES REACHED THE 1000 POINT MARKER January 17, 2025, Rock Point, AZ - This is an exciting accomplishment for Ryer James and a proud moment for the Rock Point Cougars! Surpassing the 1,000-point mark in 77 games as a junior is no small feat and speaks volumes about his dedication, skill, and impact on the court. In a home game against Fredonia Lynx, James, a 6’3" center, hit a three pointer with 1:30 left on the time clock during the third quarter to accomplish this milestone. When coach Colin Begay called for a timeout after three referees gestured a three-point shot made, the celebration with fans, teammates, and family during the timeout highlights the strong community support surrounding him. The lead was extended to 41 points with a score of 67-26. With averages of 19.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, James is clearly a pivotal player for the Cougars this season. The Cougars host Rough Rock High School tomorrow night at 6:30 PM on Melvin Arthur Court in Rock Point, Arizona. Congratulations, Ryer, for a job well done! RPCS Parents, Students, and Families! Come participate in a family cooking class session facilitated by Denee Bex, MPH, RD, CDCES, LD; the Owner & Founder of Tumbleweed Nutrition LLC. The class will discuss basics of building healthy snacks for families, demonstrate the ability to prepare the recipes featuring budget-friendly and accessible ingredients, and engage in family bonding and discuss importance of family support in healthy eating. Sign-up ASAP as the class is limited to 25 total participants. A light meal will be prepared to accompany the recipes for participants. We trust you had a wonderful and restful holiday break. To prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff, Rock Point Community School will reinstate a mask mandate for the first two weeks of school, beginning January 6, 2025. During this period, everyone on campus will be required to wear masks.
Following this mandate, we kindly encourage staff members, students and parents to remain vigilant in monitoring for signs of illness, including common colds and respiratory infections to help minimize the spread of illness within our community.
Your cooperation and understanding are vital to maintaining a safe and healthy school environment. Thank you for your continued support.

January 03, 2025, Rock Point, AZ - Happy New Year to all! This is a friendly reminder that RPCS will resume classes on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Also, in observance of the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter, and in recognition of his pivotal role in advocating for the protection of Native American families through the passage of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) of 1978, Rock Point Community School will be closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025. This day will be dedicated to honoring his contributions to the preservation of Indigenous culture and the rights of Native American children.
